How do i know if I'm singing too loud? what should be my proper volume for singing? i think i sing too loud.?

My throat always hurts after awhile and my family members complain but I don't really think I sing so loud. So how do I check and ensure I don't sing too loud? I sound hoarse after awhile of singing.

If your throat is hurting you are not singing you are yelling. You are also doing damage to the back of your palate and it will be swelling and red, consequently you will lose your voice. stop it.
