who is singing "i'm just an old chunk of coal" in the GE commercial?

Billy Joe Shaver is the original singer but we are debating on who is singing it in the commercial. I say John Anderson my husband says Randy Travis. Somebody help me settle this debate please!!!

it is for sure John Anderson. I ve listened to this since it s release off of the commercial. John Anderson must have released the single because it is available online and it is identical to the commercial. I d actually like to be able to see the commercial online again, however, all we see are the other GE Ecomagination commercials, everything but the walking chunk of coal..

I first asked GE ecoimagination, they said Billy Joe Shaver

knew he wrote it but did not sing it on the commercial ..



I then asked BBDO (GE advertising Agency) they said it

is John Anderson...



BUT I also think its Randy Travis singer, the phrasing is there !

All I know is that it is definitely not Randy Travis.
