may i know what is the difference between main vocalist and lead vocalist?

that is because when it come to SHINee, some people say that Jonghyun is the lead vocalist, onew and taemin is the main vocalist. Is it true

Main vocalist (or main singer) is the member of a band who sings the best vocal portions of a song.



A lead singer is the one that sings the most. Jonghyun

A main singer sings alot too but gets more challenging parts. Taemin or Onew

You can look up SHINee members profiles. When i first was new to SHINee i found one and it did say that Jonghyun was the main vocalist. i think thats cuz jonghyun has a great voice. and he has a lot of parts in many of the songs. Onew is the lead vocalist mainly because he has a great voice and hes the leader. i think that onew and jonghyun have equal amounts of singing parts though. So i think its not really about their rate of voices but more of their roles in their group; onew is the leader so he is the lead vocalist, and jonghyun is the one in the group that has the second role as the singer. key- rapper and dancer and vocalist. taemin- vocalist and main dancer minho (:D) -rapper and vocal

I have never head of that band our person your talking about . But the difference between a lead singer and main vocalist . is a lead singer has more to sing and takes the lead . A main vocalist is if there is more than one singer singing at the current time think of a duet . it`s kind of hard to explain . a main vocalist is not to be confused with a back up singer .
