That's complicated. I do not think it is based on how many YEARS of lessons, it is how quickly you progress and understand the music. Everyone has a different rate is to how much music they are able to understand and learn. Your voice could go miles in 2 months and be very good or in a different situation, you could still be a little farther than where you were at square one in 5 years. So there is no definite amount of years where you can say "Ok, I've taken lessons for X years, I'm good" It's based on how quickly you progress as I stated earlier.

Hope I could be of help :)

Hi,

There are no absolute answer on how many year to become a great singer. Actually, it's depend on you.

However, The only way is to practice, practice & keep practicing. The harder and discipline you are on your singing training, the sooner you will become a great singer.

You have to train your voice smart and work-hard... Remember, work-hard does enough for now... Be "Smart as well....Try to find some guidance..

And you have to make sure you are practicing with the correct method or exercises. Your vocal chord will be destroyed and hurt if you are singing in the wrong method.

Go find a good singing lesson. You vocal quality will be decreased if you keep singing in the wrong method.

Here is the singing lesson that suit for the self learning student http://www.singinglikepro.com/singorama.html it's already in Version 2, i think it's better than the version 1 which I got it last year.

Good luck

"Good" singing isn't always as easy as being "technically" good. Technique and phrasing is only part of singing...50-60% of a good singer is EMOTION. Having lived life and channeling that into the lyric of the song. Johnny Cash is not a technically "good" singer but he's undeniably one of the best. Ray Charles would probably not be considered technically "good" either but he almost never did wrong.

i won't be able of chat from adventure yet i'm valuable that making a music classes, like classes in something, will advance your ability while you're taking them heavily and be conscious the classes.
